Every injury, ache or pain is different, and will respond to certain treatments better than others. In most cases however, a combination of massage, stretching and exercise is used to treat and rehabilitate the injury. Techniques such as positional release, trigger pointing and MET stretches are also often used to release muscle spasms and tension.
Treatment sessions range from 30 mins to an hour depending on the nature of the problem. During the initial session, a thorough assessment is given and a schedule for treatment is proposed. This should take place as soon as possible – the sooner it is treated, the quicker and more complete your recovery will be.
Ed's speciality is treatment of back pain, having had significant success with a number of clients suffering from migraines, lower back pain and tension in the neck and upper back. A reduction in pain and tension can be be felt within 2 weeks, usually accompanied by a greater range of movement, and chronic problems can completely disappear within 3-6 months.
